Had a haircut yet this year? Not yet... It's coming baby!!!

 

Been in a hospital this year? Yep, to stay for a few days and to visit....

 

Lost someone you cared about this year? By death or illness, no... but other means, yes.....

Been kicked out of a public place this year? Nope...

 

Been to a public library? Not for the past 7 yrs. or so....

Do you have any tests or exams soon? Exams, no... but my patience is tested almost daily.....

Well Jozalyn (my granddaughter) is doing amazingly well!! Yesterday they put her in a step down unit... YEAH.... They have her in a room that a nurse takes care of at least 8 babies... They pulled out all her IV's took her off the breathing monitor, she's out of the warming bed and she is now latching on to her moms' breast. She's been feeding about 10 min. on the breast and she is taking a bottle twice a day. Jozalyn is well on her way to coming home to the family. But she must learn to feed better on the breast and on the bottle. I'm thrilled about the progress. Not bad for a preemie...... Keep the prayers flowing please until she's able to come home. My friends, your prayers and candles has done so much for her health and her ability to learn how to breath, no issues with her organs and now she's feeding so much better. A big thank you to my friends for caring so much about my family. A big thank you for those that do not know me very well but prayed for her and her mother. Her mom is doing very well so far with her blood pressure and her sugar levels.... Thanks again to all.....

Some of you all already know that mom is home and the baby is still in the NICU. Jozalyn Rayne (baby) has jaundice now in which is common for preemie babies to get. Jozalyn is doing well as far as she they have been increasing her eating everyday now. She was only 5 lbs. at birth, big I know for a premature baby, but they were expecting her to be by Aug. 14th, her due date between 12 to 14 pounds. Wow wee, that's one big baby, I couldn't imagine giving birth to that big of a baby. Mother has type 1 diabetes so they give birth to big babies. But thank the Goddesses and all of my friends here at Covenspace for the prayers and lighting the candles. We don't have a date yet when Jozalyn will be able to join her parents, they said she could stay in there until her due date of Aug., but at least both are doing better. There was a big scare with the mom's kidneys shutting down, and she still has to see a kidney specialist. She hemorrhaged behind her eyes at some point during labor/birth. She couldn't see very well and everything was blurry and couldn't even see what was on TV, but they said she should recover from that in time also. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers my friends. My nerves are just starting to settle down some, but please still keep them in your daily prayers.

Jozalyn Rayne made it into our world at 5:57 a.m., Thursday morning, (a damn long ass night when they started inducing her on Wed. morning!) weighing in at 5 lbs. and she's 17 1/2" long. For the most part she is doing ok, she's still in the NICU maybe until her original due date of Aug. 14th. But mommy isn't doing so well. Her kidneys are in real bad shape and will have to see a specialist in the hospital. Her type 1 diabetes and pre-clampsia (Sp?) have done a real number on them. So please keep praying and lighting candles as the little princess needs her mommy. My son is still in panic mode, worrying about both of them, so say a prayer for his peace of mind to please. The both of them only have had about 6 hrs. sleep since Tuesday morning. I'll try to get on-line again this weekend if I'm not at the hospital all day.
