About Me Greetings and Welcome to my little space in the universe where you will have a good start in knowing me and about my beliefs. I am a friendly and fun loving kind of gal. I enjoy life for the most part. I try to endure the chaos of daily living and being in a world that isn't so accepting of my beliefs. I’m for the moment a solitary witch, but I do have a group I can study with and it's there that I’m able to learn from other witches that has many, many more years of knowledge than myself, (when the price of gas allows me to travel to them). I try to learn something everyday about life, my faith and about others. I live in the country where I embrace my privacy. I don’t mind being alone at home, as it is then I can contemplate on my thoughts, practice my faith and to enjoy nature at its’ finest. I am an eclectic Crone Witch and I'm not Wiccan. I believe in Karma and the Universal Laws, and not in the 3 fold law. I am of the Dark and of the Light. I believe in the balance of all things. I honor all of Her Moon phases, Esbats and Sabbats. I have been a practicing witch for about 8 years now. My passion is clear, and it runs deep within all levels of my consciousness. I feel it. I feel everything. Hey, Goodmorning my Friends!!!

    Monday, August 4, 2008, 08:27 AM [General]

I've been MIA for awhile, but I've been around to read the blogs and my messages. I had a wonderful ritual on Friday. I put together a basket of veggies out of my garden and picked a bowl of mulberries for the Sabbat ritual and alter. Afterwards I gave the Goddess and God those offerings. They were very pleased I know. I hope ya'll had a wonderful Sabbat also. They have blessed my little garden so much. My tomatoes plants are so huge that even three stakes couldn't hold them up. I'll have large tomatoes coming out of my butt this year, lol. I'm sure the food prices will sky rocket this winter so I'm going to put up as many tomatoes as I can. I picked a mess of pole beans yesterday and cooked them up with garden fresh red potatoes yesterday... my peppers, wow, I've been picking them at least twice a week. My cucumbers are coming out very nice, I used a staking method with them and they are growing huge that way....

I've been dealing with some spiritual things and working a lot of mojo... I cleansed my home on Saturday and done some other things and now my home is sealed tight as a barrel... I've had the most serene and peaceful weekend ever; after the cleansing and protecting.. Ahhh to be a witch... I just love my life, my path and to know that I can create what ever it is that I need. I've been doing some fire scrying with a candle, but alas I'm not quite there yet. I have my best results with bon fires and its' embers. I just can't wait until Samhain in which I shall fire scry then with my bon fire. I've purchased quite a few books and doing a lot of reading. I have gotten Dorothy Morrison in which I've read in 3 days (I just love her, the way that she writes makes the reading most enjoyable), a few of Scott Cunningham's books, Christopher Penzack (sp.?), Francis Mevele (sp.?) and I got the Green Mile hardback addition. I'm reading that one now and I just love this book!!

My granddaughter Jozalyn is growing like a weed!! She's over 8 lbs. now and gaining!! She is doing remarkably well for a preemie.. I swear that she can turn over on her side and turn herself around in her bassinette, I wouldn't have believed it but I saw her do it with my own eyes.. I've not heard of a baby not even two months old doing that.... she's such a little trooper and I'm in love with this little girl!!!  I got her a bib that says if mom says no, just ask grandma.. hehehehe, I know that's right!!!! What happens at grandma's stays at grandma's..... lol....

I'll be another year older on the 13th... it use to bother me to get older, but not anymore.. Hell I don't look my age at all... I'm enjoying being a Crone!!!! Well any who, I'll be getting my vacation days back on the 10th, so I'm taking my birthday and a few other days off and I simply can't wait... having the house to myself during the day to do what ever!!! The 16th I'm taking my oldest grandson to go see Tecumseh, it's an outdoor play about the Indians and soldiers... we'll get a back stage pass to see the guns, how they do make up and other things, then tour through the gift shop and museum and a huge buffet dinner... I just can't wait. I'm hoping to purchase some turquoise jewelry for a birthday gift... and of course buy something for my grandson... The play is in Chillicothe Ohio. I've wanted to see this play for years now, and I finally get to go...

Well gots to scoot now, so I'll see ya'll on the flip flop...

    Luv and Blessings,

    Great Baby News.....

    Saturday, July 12, 2008, 01:57 PM [General]

Greetings my friends. Well baby Jozalyn came home from the hospital yesterday, Friday afternoon. She's gained the weight back that she lost, in which ,is normal for any baby to do. She's up to 5lbs. 13 ounces. yeah!!!! She can stay home as long as she keeps her eating up. If she refuses a bottle or not taking the ounces that she was when she was in the hospital, she'll be admitted back. She came home a week early due to she's doing wonderfully well. They don't like to release pre-meeie babies unless they are 36 weeks, and she's 35 weeks. So thanks to all that kept her in your prayers and the lighting of candles...

    Warm Baby Blessings,

When the letter "A" is dropped

    Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 01:59 PM [General]

    From Daemon to Demon,

The victors are always the ones who write history books. It's never the losers, never the victims. We see this most clearly with the turbulent and sometimes violent rise of monotheism when the God of Abraham took the place of the many Gods of antiquity.

As one culture evolved into another, a convenient phenomenon occurred: The deities of the older society all became minions of evil. In other works, the Old Gods became the new demons. Rather than trying to understand them or considering the possibility that the Gods were, in fact, many aspects of the One, it was a lot easier to wipe them out and start all over again. After all, everybody knows that "our way is the right way."

In this process, we can see how easily the so-called evidence appeared, showing the evil had existed everywhere until the arrival of the only true God. Well, we're all saved now, right?  Everything that came before was declared to be without value, basically obliterating the mark of any other group on cultural evolution. What was once sacred became marked as profane. Period.

Let's take Gnosticism and the pagan mysteries as examples. They predated Christianity as spiritual traditions in which gnosis was the goal. Gnostics sought a direct personal experience of the Divine, as opposed to just having faith. Personal mystical revelation was achieved without a priest as an intermediary between the person and the Sacred.

The daemon was the name for one of two parts of a human's dualistic nature-it represented the higher self; the lower self was called the eidolon. In their book The Jesus Mysteries, authors Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy observe:

The Pagan sages taught that every human being has a mortal lower self called the eidolon and an immortal Higher Self called the Daemon. The eidolon is the embodied self, the physical body and personality. The Daemon is the Spirit, the true Self, which is each person's spiritual connection to God. The Mysteries were designed to help initiates realize that the eidolon is a false self and that their true identity is the immortal Daemon...

Although it appears as if each person has their own Daemon or Higher Self, the enlightened initiate discovers that actually there is one Daemon shared by all-a universal Self, which inhabits every being. Each soul is a part of the one Soul of God. To know oneself therefore is to know God.

These mystical teachings are found both in the Pagan Mysteries and Gnostic Christianity.

The daemon was another name for the immortal soul. When approaching Divine dialogue through divination, it's this higher self (of daemon) that engages in dialogue with the Source. According to the old language, you're engaging the daemon to reach into Spirit for enlightenment, reflection, and revelation.

Since daemonic reality represented the otherworld, where you search for the essence of the wisdom of the Divine as opposed to the mortal material world.  Spirit was regarded as the daemonic reality-the soul world of the higher self that transcends the earthbound ego. It was also the domain of the universal self that's the collective intermediary between humans and God. It allowed the Divine intelligence and wisdom to send us messages and dialogue with us through interactive divination tools, oracles, signs, and omens (which were sent to us through the material world).

So what happened to the daemon of the pagans and Gnostics? The concept of daemon and eidolon didn't serve the new replacement faith. With the advent of patriarchy and the systematic obliteration of any theology that allowed individual access to the Divine, daemon became the demon, an evil trickster that would surely lead people away from God. This conversion had grave consequences: The personal and universal connector to Spirit, as described by the pagans and Gnostics, became something evil and untrustworthy. Everything changed.

After rewriting the old ways, how about we take what's left; shred it; put it in a pot; and add a cup of fear, a pinch of ignorance, and a spoonful of superstition. Then stir it up and watch it go the way of the blasphemous heathens. "Double, double, toil and trouble"; I smell a witch burning! The daemon, our personal connector to God, conveniently becomes the demon of the devil.

You can see how powerful language is. Just by removing the letter "A" from the word, something very different is born-something that suits the new way of connecting with God.

Also, way back in history, there was a belief that destructive and evil beings called demons actually existed, residing somewhere in the unseen and spending their time making serious messes for us poor unsuspecting human victims.

*****This was interesting to me. I got this from the book I'm currently reading called: Messages from Spirit -- the Extraordinary Power of Oracles, Omens, and Signs -- By Colette Raron-Reid*****
